Marcie Boyer is a multi-ethnic American from a culturally rich urban background. Growing up below the “poverty line” and experiencing racism throughout her childhood, Marcie understands what it feels like to be labeled “disadvantaged”. While working toward her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from City University of New York, she worked for several years in a social policy research nonprofit which studied programs to help disadvantaged groups within the US. After completing her degree, Marcie (later) worked for 10 years developing information systems with a multi-national pharmaceutical company. Through these experiences Marcie has been given the opportunity to work with people from a variety of cultural, economic and social backgrounds.
